Calcium-Zinc (Ca-Zn) Stabilizers

Calcium-Zinc Pipe Stabilizer

Lead-free one-pack replacing every lead pipe grade — plumbing, agricultural, column and SWR — with excellent colour retention, impact strength and consistent wall thickness.

Calcium-zinc (Ca-Zn) lead-free PVC pipe stabilizer flakes

Overview

Grade SCI-720-CZ · SCI-729-AG

Our calcium-zinc pipe stabilizers are complete heat-stabilizer-plus-lubricant packs engineered to replace every lead grade in rigid pipe — from plumbing and column pipe to agricultural and SWR — with performance comparable to lead systems. They deliver excellent colour retention, impact strength and consistent wall thickness, and being lead-free and non-toxic they qualify for potable-water pipe. SCI-720-CZ is the well-lubricated grade for plumbing and light/no-pigment pipe, giving superior physical properties and longer screw and barrel life. SCI-729-AG is moderately lubricated for high-output agricultural and commercial lines, with superior pressure and impact results. Our technical team also runs full lead-to-CaZn migrations — machine parameters and formulation fine-tuning included.

FAQ

Calcium-Zinc Pipe Stabilizer — frequently asked questions

Is calcium-zinc stabilizer non-toxic?

Yes. Calcium-zinc (Ca-Zn) stabilizers are lead-free and heavy-metal-free, which is why they are used for potable-water pipe, food-contact articles and other consumer PVC where toxicity is a concern.

Can calcium-zinc stabilizer replace lead in my formulation?

In most applications, yes — but it is not a drop-in swap. The lubricant package usually needs rebalancing, so we audit your recipe and run a supervised plant trial before you commit.

What applications use calcium-zinc stabilizers?

Potable-water and plumbing pipe, foam board, edge banding, footwear and other consumer or food-contact PVC where a non-toxic system is required.
