Lead Stearate (LS)
Lubricating co-stabilizer — greater lubricity than DBLS with better dispersion thanks to its lower melting point, giving rigid and flexible PVC a smooth surface.

Overview
Grade SCI-120-LS
Lead stearate is an excellent lubricant with stabilizing action. Compared with dibasic lead stearate it offers greater lubricity and somewhat less stabilizing action, and its lower melting point gives it better dispersion in PVC. It puts a smooth surface on both rigid and flexible PVC and serves as a general-purpose co-stabilizer for extrusion, injection moulding, wires and cables, rigid pipes, fittings and profiles — usually running alongside TBLS, DBLS, DBLP and calcium stearate.
Key Properties
- High lubricity with stabilizing action
- Better dispersion — lower melting point than DBLS
- Smooth surface finish on rigid & flexible PVC
- General-purpose partner to TBLS / DBLS / DBLP / CS
